At BeConnections, conserving our user’s (Members) trust is our top priority, so we abide by the following principles to protect your privacy:
We protect your personal information and will only provide it to third parties: (1) with your consent; (2) where it is necessary to carry out your instructions; (3) as reasonably necessary in order to provide BeConnections features and functionality to you; (4) as we reasonably believe is permitted by law or regulation; or (5) as necessary to enforce our User Agreement or protect the rights, property, or safety of BeConnections, its Members, and the public.
We have implemented appropriate security safeguards designed to protect your information in accordance with industry standards.
1.1. Data Controllers
All personal information provided to or gathered by BeConnections is controlled by BeConnected Media S.L. B86744299, Francisco Geralte 1, Entreplanta Izquierda, 28002 Madrid, Spain. If you have any concerns or objections regarding any of our terms of agreement, you should not become a member of BeConnections nor visit our network. If you have already registered your company, or become a member on behalf of a company, you should close your account immediately.
1.3. Profile Information
Upon creating a corporate account, BeConnections will automatically assign an administrator to your company, which may be amended by your company at any time. Administrators must validate all employees’ authenticity requesting access to BeConnections and are the only users who may add/delete any information on their company’s profile, such as pictures and status updates. Administrators may choose to provide additional information to their corporate profile, like descriptions, interest, professional affiliations and awards. Likewise, BeConnections profiles can be linked to other social networks, like Facebook, Twitter, Linkedin etc.
1.4. Services that sync with BeConnections and Recommendation emails
For the moment, BeConnections does not offer synced services to member’s address books or external contacts. However, should we make this service available; we will inform our users upon their login. However, BeConnections does provide a “Recommendation” tool, in which we ask you to recommend our platform to your connections through a pop up template. This is optional and done under your sole discretion and on behalf of your company. Furthermore, you agree to take full responsibility for the messages exchanged.

We may collect any information that we pertain to our interest through any of our services, for example when you “Share” or “like” any content on or through BeConnections, when you click on sponsorship ads, and add new connections.
1.8. Advertising Technologies and Web Beacons
We target ads to members on BeConnections through:
- Member provided profile information, regions and sectors
- Information inferred from the employee list on a company’s profile
- Your company’s use of BeConnections
1.9. Information about your computer, mobile device and activity Online
BeConnections tracks information from the devices our members use to access BeConnections, along with their geographical location to help us improve and secure our platform. As our network grows, we may create new ways to collect additional information.
2.0 Consent to BeConnections to use and process information about you and your company
2.1. BeConnections Communications
Our team communicates with you through email, notices posted on the BeConnections website, messages to your company’s inbox and other means available through our Service. Example of these message may include, but are not limited to (i) welcome and engagement messages; (ii) service messages (normally regarding maintenance and security); (iii) promotional messages. Should your company wish to opt out of promotional messages, please have the administrator Contact Us.
2.2 User Communication
Please note that Users connected to one another will be able to see each other’s profile with relevant information made available by your company’s administrator, like corporate pictures, states updates, employee information etc. If you have not accepted a User’s Connections request, that company will not be able to see your profile page, just your company’s picture and name, along with respective filters (region, sector, country, subsector).
2.3 Sharing Information with Third Parties
Members on BeConnections cannot make their profiles public to Internet users not registered in our network.
Content distributed through BeConnections’ sharing features and third-party integrations may result in displaying some of your personal information outside of our network. For example, if your company has bound their BeConnections’ account to their Facebook account, any information posted outside of our network is subject to third party privacy policies and terms.
Generic information will also be made available to BeConnections’ regional and sectorial sponsors.
BeConnections helps you to search for new companies by region and sector. Soon, we will offer filtered results by country and subsector, as well.
Categories are always defined by company administrators, and may be changed at any time in their corporate settings.
2.5 Testimonials and Advertisements Placed on BeConnections or about our network
If you provide any testimonials about our goods or services or place sponsorship on BeConnections, we may post those testimonials and examples of advertisements you place in connection with our promotion of these services to third parties. Testimonials and advertisements may include your company’s name and other corporate information that you have provided.
2.6 Compliance with Legal Process and Other Disclosures
It is possible that we may need to disclose personal information, profile information, or information about your activities as a BeConnections’ Member when required by law, subpoena, or other legal process, or if BeConnections has a reasonable belief that disclosure is necessary to (1) investigate, prevent, or take action regarding suspected or actual illegal activities or to assist government enforcement agencies; (2) enforce the User Agreement, investigate and defend ourselves against any third-party claims or allegations, or protect the security or integrity of our Service; or (3) exercise or protect the rights, property, or safety of BeConnections, our Users, or anyone related to out Network.
3. Rights to Access, Correct, or Delete Your Information, and Closing Your Account
You have a right to (1) access, modify, correct, or delete your personal information controlled by BeConnections regarding your company’s profile; however, this does not mean that you may remove anything pertaining to your company unless done so through your corporate administrator (2) close your account. If you close your account, your information will generally be removed from the Service within 72 hours. We generally delete closed account information and will de-personalize any logs or other backup information within 30 days of account closure, except as noted below.
Please note: Information you have shared with others (for example, through InMail, network updates, or content sharing) or that others have copied may also remain visible after you have closed your account or deleted the information from your own profile. In addition, you may not be able to access, correct, or eliminate any information about you that other Members copied or exported out of BeConnections, because this information may not be in our control.
Your company has the right to close their corporate membership at any time without their registered employee’s consent. Should this happen, please Contact Us or your company’s administrator for more information.
Corporate information can only be amended by its authorized administrators; however, companies may choose to have more than one administrator registered on their account. Administrators can check their status by logging into their BeConnections’ account and see who else is authorized to make changes to their company’s profile. Administrators are the only members permitted to add pictures, update their company’s status, authenticate new users linked to their company, and change their corporate summary. Administrators have the right to change or delete their account at any time. Administrators’ names will be emphasized in some shape or form on their company’s profile.
3.1 Data Retention
We keep your information for as long as your account is active or as needed. We may keep certain information even after you closer your account if it is necessary for legal purposes or to enforce our Terms of Service.
We have implemented security safeguards designed to protect the personal information that you provide in accordance with industry standards. Access to your data on BeConnections is password-protected, and sensitive data (such as credit card information) is protected by SSL encryption when it is exchanged between your web browser and BeConnections. To protect any data you store on our servers, we also regularly monitor our system for possible vulnerabilities and attacks. However, since the Internet is not a 100% secure environment, we cannot ensure or warrant the security of any information that you transmit to BeConnections. There is no guarantee that information may not be accessed, disclosed, altered, or destroyed by breach of any of our physical, technical, or managerial safeguards. It is your responsibility to protect the security of your login information. Please note that emails, messages, and similar means of communication with other BeConnection users are not encrypted, and we strongly advise you not to communicate any confidential information through these means. Please help keep your account safe by using a strong password and do not share it with others.
